The Food & Beverage Captain is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the assigned restaurant or dining outlet, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational efficiency. The role leads and supports the service team, maintains the highest standards of hospitality, and ensures that all food and beverage services are delivered in accordance with the luxury brand standards of Chedi Hegra. The F&B Captain acts as a role model for service excellence while contributing to guest satisfaction and departmental success.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the assigned restaurant or food and beverage outlet.
Lead, motivate, and support Servers, Hosts, and Food Runners to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, and ensure prompt, courteous, and personalized service.
Monitor service quality throughout the guest experience and resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure all food and beverage orders are served accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with brand standards.
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily menus, promotions, VIP arrivals, reservations, and operational updates.
Monitor staff grooming, attendance, and compliance with hotel policies and service standards.
Assist with scheduling, task assignments, and team supervision during shifts.
Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and presentation of the dining area before, during, and after service.
Monitor inventory of operating supplies and report shortages or replenishment requirements.
Support cash handling procedures and ensure accurate billing and payment processing where applicable.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety regulations.
Train and coach team members to continuously improve service quality and operational performance.
Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as an F&B Captain, Restaurant Supervisor, or Senior Waiter in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or upscale hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, restaurant operations, and guest relations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to supervise teams in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment.
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is an advantage).
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and restaurant operations.
Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards.
Fluent in English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
