Job Summary

Location: Chedi Hegra, Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia.

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests using the hotel's swimming pool and recreational water facilities. The role involves maintaining constant surveillance of the pool area, preventing accidents, responding promptly to emergencies, and delivering exceptional guest service while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational standards. The Lifeguard contributes to creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable recreational environment that reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor swimming pool and recreational areas to ensure the safety of all guests.

• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations in a professional and courteous manner.

• Respond immediately to emergencies by performing water rescues, administering first aid, CPR, and using emergency equipment when required.

• Conduct routine inspections of the pool, surrounding areas, and lifesaving equipment to ensure they are clean, safe, and fully operational.

• Report hazards, equipment malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly to the Recreation Manager or Duty Manager.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, furniture, and recreational facilities.

• Welcome guests, provide information regarding pool facilities and operating hours, and assist with guest inquiries professionally.

• Ensure all health, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained in accordance with hotel policies and local regulations.

• Participate in emergency drills, departmental training, and continuous safety improvement initiatives.

• Support recreation activities and special events when required.

• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and daily operational checklists.

• Collaborate with other hotel departments to deliver a seamless luxury guest experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Saudi National (Required).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Valid Lifeguard Certification recognized by the relevant Saudi authority.

• Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.

• Previous experience as a Lifeguard in a luxury hotel, resort, beach club, or recreational facility is preferred.

• Strong swimming, rescue, and emergency response skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong guest service orientation with a professional and well-groomed appearance.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergency situations.

• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• Good command of English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
