F&B Host / Hostess

The F&B Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable first impression for guests by providing professional, courteous, and efficient service. The role manages guest seating, reservations, and dining arrangements while ensuring smooth communication between guests and the restaurant team to deliver an exceptional dining experience in line with luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant.
Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently and accurately.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus while ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
Maintain an organized reservation system and update guest information as required.
Coordinate with restaurant management and service teams to optimize table allocation and guest flow.
Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
Monitor restaurant occupancy and waiting times, communicating updates to guests when necessary.
Ensure the reception and waiting areas remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Recognize VIP guests and special occasions, ensuring personalized service where appropriate.
Support restaurant promotions, special events, and operational activities as required.
Maintain knowledge of restaurant menus, operating hours, and available services.
Follow company policies, procedures, and luxury hospitality service standards.
Work closely with restaurant staff to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Candidate Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related qualifications are an advantage.
Previous experience as a Host/Hostess, Guest Relations Agent, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing hospitality role is preferred.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor.
Ability to manage reservations, guest seating, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and dining service standards.
Familiarity with restaurant reservation systems is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational needs.
