The Senior Butler is responsible for delivering highly personalized and exceptional guest experiences by anticipating guest needs, coordinating bespoke services, and ensuring the highest standards of luxury hospitality. The role oversees Butler operations, supports and mentors Butler team members, and acts as a key point of contact for VIP guests, ensuring seamless service throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personalized and attentive service to guests, ensuring an exceptional luxury experience.
Anticipate guest preferences and proactively arrange services to exceed expectations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for VIPs, long-stay guests, and special-profile guests.
Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Build strong guest relationships to enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
Coordinate guest arrivals, room preparations, amenities, and special arrangements.
Ensure guest rooms, suites, and residences meet established luxury standards before arrival.
Arrange unpacking, packing, garment pressing, dining reservations, transportation, and concierge services as requested.
Monitor guest preferences and maintain accurate guest history records.
Ensure all Butler services are delivered efficiently and consistently.
Supervise and support Butler team members during daily operations.
Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to junior Butlers.
Assist management in scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
Ensure adherence to service standards, SOPs, and company policies.
Support onboarding and development of new team members.
Liaise with Housekeeping, Front Office, Concierge, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Security departments to fulfill guest requirements.
Coordinate special occasions, celebrations, VIP arrivals, and personalized guest experiences.
Ensure timely communication of guest preferences and operational updates across departments.
Follow up on guest requests to ensure complete satisfaction.
Conduct inspections of suites, villas, and VIP accommodations.
Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with luxury hospitality standards and brand requirements.
Participate in quality audits and guest satisfaction initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of guest requests, preferences, and service activities.
Prepare operational reports and shift handover notes.
Assist in inventory control of Butler amenities, supplies, and equipment.
Support departmental projects and service enhancement initiatives.
Health, Safety, and Security
Comply with hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Protect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Ensure safe handling of guest belongings and valuables.
Report incidents, maintenance issues, and security concerns promptly.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Butler Service, Guest Relations, Concierge, Luxury Hospitality, or a similar guest-facing role.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, private residences, or VIP guest services is highly desirable.
Good command of English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
Professional, polished, and well-groomed appearance in line with luxury hospitality standards.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
