Laundry Supervisor
Lead our hotel laundry team to deliver pristine linens with care — coach staff, streamline daily ops, and ensure on-time, high-quality service.
The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring efficient processing, cleaning, pressing, and delivery of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry while maintaining quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the laundry team.
Ensure all guest laundry, staff uniforms, and hotel linens are processed accurately and delivered on time.
Monitor the quality of washing, drying, pressing, folding, and finishing processes.
Conduct regular inspections of linens, uniforms, and guest garments to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Schedule and assign daily tasks to laundry attendants based on operational requirements.
Train, coach, and support laundry staff to maintain productivity and service excellence.
Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies, chemicals, linens, and uniforms, and report replenishment needs.
Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of laundry equipment and facilities.
Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments regarding linen requirements and laundry services.
Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and chemical handling procedures.
Investigate and resolve laundry-related issues, guest concerns, and operational challenges.
Assist in implementing cost-control measures to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with the Engineering department.
Support management in achieving departmental goals and maintaining service standards.
Candidate Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in Hospitality, Housekeeping, or a related field is an advantage.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a laundry operation within a hotel, hospitality, healthcare, or commercial laundry environment.
Previous supervisory experience in a laundry department is preferred.
Strong knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, stain treatment, garment handling, and linen management.
Familiarity with laundry equipment, chemicals, and safe operating procedures.
Good understanding of hygiene, health, safety, and quality standards.
Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple operational requirements effectively.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports.
Physically fit and capable of supervising operational activities in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational needs.
